C.V
Maria Cristina Bellucci has mainly used silver in her work, although she has occasionally employed gold too.
Her earlier work was characterized by the use of very thin metal sheets and wires, experimenting with hollowness.
In later work, she started using even thinner sheets, as if working with paper, creating pieces that were voluminous and light at the same time.
Her more recent work is characterised by the introduction of colour, not previously explored. The artist likes to use everyday objects in her works, whereby the original use of that object is taken out of its original context and transformed into jewellery.
