Statement
Marzia Rossi likes to use large layers of stone, with their colours, sometimes with their transparency, combined with different metals and Perspex, in a sort of chaos of many elements linked together that become one single thing. She endeavours to recognize what is hidden and rename what is found, as if everything, even the most common object or material, may possibly contain a vision and then be able to tell it, but never completely, so that the observer is able to interpret a personal idea of what is being communicated.

Marzia Rossi was born in Italy in 1975. In 1993 she obtained her high school diploma with an art specialization. In 1997 she studied interior design at ISAD, Milan, gaining a specialization diploma. From 2001 to 2002 she studied at Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School, Florence. In 2004 she followed a workshop with Dorothea Pruhl, Ravary, Belgium, and then returned to Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School and followed the "Quaternitas" specialization course with Robert Smit from 2005 to 2006. Her work has been shown in several exhibitions in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, USA and Greece. Rossi has also taken part in SOFA, New York. In 2003 she was selected to take part in Schmuck at the Internationale Handwerksmesse, Munich.
